The Payroll Specialist at Confidential Client is responsible for accurate and timely processing of semi-monthly multi-state payrolls, maintaining payroll records, and resolving payroll and time attendance issues under the supervision of the Payroll Supervisor. This entry-level role requires strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with training provided and a hybrid in-office work schedule.

What You’ll Do
The Payroll Specialist will support accurate, timely processing of assigned company codes in a semi-monthly, multi-state payroll environment. This is an entry-level opportunity; training will be provided.
- Ensure accuracy of payroll data and payroll inputs.
- Process semi-monthly payrolls and maintain payroll records (salary changes, wage garnishments, benefit deductions, payroll taxing, vacation/PTO accruals).
- Collect non-exempt time cards weekly and follow up on timecard discrepancies.
- Work closely with the Payroll Supervisor to resolve payroll and time & attendance issues.
- Produce and pull payroll and HR reports from ADP as required.
- Serve as backup for other payroll specialists when needed.
What We’re Looking For

- Solid problem-solving ability, good judgment, and tactful customer service.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Familiarity with ADP payroll systems (required).
- Understanding of employee benefits and payroll deductions.
- Ability to safeguard confidential employee information and work under direction and supervision.
Education & Experience
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or a related discipline preferred.
- Entry-level candidates eligible; formal training will be provided on company processes and systems.
