The Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing and auditing high-volume biweekly payroll to ensure accurate and timely employee compensation. What You’ll Do
This role focuses on accurate, timely payroll processing and strong cross‑departmental communication.
- Process and audit high-volume biweekly payroll ensuring pay, timekeeping and coding are correct across departments, cost centers and job codes
- Review and maintain payroll records: new hires, terminations, leaves, pay-rate changes, PTO balances, department allocations, garnishments and third‑party sick pay
- Reconcile payroll registers, prepare payroll reports and create general ledger journal entries
- Process off-cycle payrolls, manual checks, travel reimbursements, referral bonuses, taxable fringe benefits and termination payouts
- Collaborate with managers to resolve payroll discrepancies and advise on payroll policies and procedures
- Support payroll operations through cross-training, special projects and process improvements
What Makes You Great

- High School Diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3+ years of experience in a payroll environment (high-volume/biweekly processing preferred)
- Proficiency with MS Office; ability to learn new payroll systems quickly
- ADP experience is a plus
- Strong customer service and communication skills with excellent follow-up
- Ability to manage deadlines, maintain accuracy and work additional hours when needed

Compensation & Schedule
- Pay: $29.25 - $32.00 per hour
- Schedule: Full-Time — Mon–Fri, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM (35 hours/week)
