What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is looking for an experienced associate to join their Business & Supply Chain Operations practice as a Payer Operations & Transformation Consultant in Philadelphia, PA. In this role you will support payer-focused operations engagements that drive transformation, improve efficiency, and deliver measurable outcomes for healthcare payers and health services organizations.
- Support client engagements on operations consulting projects focused on payer systems and processes
- Help develop and implement business transformation strategies and process-improvement plans
- Conduct market and operational research to inform recommendations
- Apply business data analytics to surface performance gaps and opportunities
- Participate in process optimization and operational excellence initiatives
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align operational strategy and implementation plans
- Support quality standards, performance metrics analysis, and change-management activities
- Assist senior staff with deliverables, client communications, and project execution
Responsibilities
- Contribute to day-to-day consulting tasks on payer operations and transformation projects
- Collect, analyze, and synthesize data to support recommendations
- Map processes and identify opportunities for cost, time, or quality improvements
- Prepare client-ready deliverables (presentations, reports, dashboards)
- Assist with stakeholder interviews, workshops, and change-management efforts
- Track project progress and escalate risks or dependencies as needed
- Travel to client sites as required to support project delivery (see Travel Requirements)
Qualifications (Minimum)
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in operations, consulting, analytics, or related roles
- Strong analytical skills and comfort working with business data
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively on project teams
- Authorization to work in the U.S. (client may require employees to be authorized without sponsorship)
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
Preference will be given to candidates with education or experience in one or more of the following fields:
- Accounting, Actuarial Science, Analytics / Data Science, Business Administration / Management
- Computer Science / Information Systems, Economics, Engineering, Finance
- Health Administration / Public Health, Mathematics / Statistics
- Operations / Supply Chain, Organizational Management / Behavior, Risk Management / Insurance

Travel Requirements
- Up to 60% travel, depending on project needs
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $63,000 - $140,000 per year. Actual pay will depend on skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable laws.
- Eligible for annual discretionary bonus (per client policy).
- Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, retirement plan, paid time off, and other standard employee benefits offered by the client.
