About the Role
Confidential Client is hiring an Experienced Associate-level Payer Operations & Transformation Consultant to support operations-focused engagements within the Health Services space. You will help clients improve payer operations through transformation initiatives, analytics, process improvement, and stakeholder collaboration. This role is client-facing, development-oriented, and requires strong analytical and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Support client engagements on payer operations and operations-transformation projects
- Assist in developing and implementing business transformation strategies
- Conduct market and operational research to inform recommendations
- Apply business data analytics to identify performance gaps and improvement opportunities
- Participate in process improvement and operational efficiency initiatives
- Collaborate with client and internal stakeholders to align operations with strategic goals
- Use operations management techniques and quality standards to maintain project delivery excellence
- Analyze business performance metrics and create actionable insights
- Support change management activities to enable sustainable transformation
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience (consulting, operations, analytics, or related roles)
Preferred / Distinguishing Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates with education or experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Accounting, Actuarial Science, Analytics / Data Science

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $63,000 - $140,000 (actual compensation will depend on skills, experience, qualifications, and location, and will comply with applicable employment laws).
- All hired individuals are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus (subject to program rules).
- Our client offers benefits such as medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid holidays, vacation, and personal/family sick leave. Specific benefits vary by location.
Location & Travel
- Job location: Charlotte, NC (zip 28230). Hybrid work arrangements may be available.
- Travel requirement: Up to 60%.
