What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring a Patient Access Representative for part-time weekend coverage at an imaging location. This role supports patient registration, front-line service, and secure payment processing while ensuring compliance with privacy and regulatory requirements.

• Verify patient identity and select the correct patient record
• Register patients based on schedules and physician orders
• Scan and securely store documents (IDs, insurance cards, living wills, POAs)
• Enter and verify demographic and insurance data in the electronic health record (EHR)
• Explain and collect co-payments, deposits, and outstanding balances; process transactions securely
• Greet patients and families; direct them to the correct service area
• Perform scheduling, pre-admission, and discharge tasks as needed
• Provide updates and guidance to families in waiting areas
• Adhere to HIPAA and other applicable privacy/compliance standards

Schedule & Location

• Part-time — Weekend coverage every Saturday and Sunday
• Possible shifts (examples): 7:00 AM–5:30 PM or 12:30 PM–11:00 PM (must be available for day or evening shifts between 7:00 AM–11:00 PM)
• Primary work location: Charlottesville, VA. Some roles at Confidential Client may include telecommute eligibility; applicant location requirements are listed in the job details.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required). An associate’s or bachelor’s degree may be considered in lieu of two years’ experience.
• 2 years customer service or data entry experience (required)
• Demonstrated keyboarding and computer proficiency (required)
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Attention to detail, accurate grammar, spelling, and punctuation
• Preferred: familiarity with third-party payers, ICD/CPT coding, and medical terminology

Compensation & Benefits
