Position Overview

Confidential Client is hiring a full-time Pastry Cook in Franklin, TN. This role prepares, bakes, and finishes a variety of desserts, pastries, breads, and other bakery items for hotel outlets. The ideal candidate combines strong baking technique, creativity in presentation and flavor, and reliable kitchen discipline in a fast-paced hospitality environment.


What You’ll Do

  • Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, cookies, breads, and desserts following standardized and original recipes.
  • Decorate and finish desserts with glazes, icings, and garnishes for dining outlets and events.
  • Contribute to menu development and seasonal dessert offerings.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering ingredients and pastry supplies.
  • Maintain clean, sanitary, and organized pastry workstations in compliance with food safety standards.
  • Keep accurate records of food costs, yields, and inventory for the pastry section.
  • Support and coordinate with culinary and service teams during events and peak service times.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent; culinary or pastry certificate preferred.
  • Prior pastry or bakery experience — formal pastry training (associate degree or certificate) is a plus.
  • Strong baking techniques and familiarity with common pastry equipment.
  • Creativity in dessert presentation and flavor development.
  • Excellent attention to detail and consistent portioning.
  • Good time management, organization, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced hospitality environment and accept constructive feedback.

Physical Demands

  • Able to lift, push, and carry 20–40 lbs as needed.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive motions.
  • Frequent bending, lifting, and movement of supplies to support hotel outlets.

  • Estimated pay (from source posting): $41,226 per year — actual compensation determined by Confidential Client.
