Confidential Client is seeking a Part Time Dietitian to support a PACE (Program of All‑Inclusive Care for the Elderly) program in Sioux City, IA. This part‑time, contract role works under the PACE Program Manager and is a member of the interdisciplinary care team delivering nutrition assessment, individualized care planning, education, and documentation for older adult participants.


What You’ll Do

  • Provide nutrition assessments and develop individualized nutrition care plans for PACE participants.
  • Review medical history, lab data, medications, current diet orders, and intake to determine nutritional needs.
  • Recommend, implement, and monitor nutrition interventions to support participant health and nutrition-related diagnoses.
  • Complete nutrition assessments per regulatory guidelines and contribute to participants’ overall plan of care.
  • Educate participants, families, staff, and contracted providers on diet, food safety and sanitation.
  • Document participant encounters and care plans in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Attend daily interdisciplinary team meetings and participate in team activities as scheduled.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and local PACE regulations and organizational policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support high-quality participant care.

Qualifications

  • Registered Dietitian (RD) or registration-eligible with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
  • Education:
    • After Jan 1, 2024: Master’s degree in dietetics or equivalent meeting the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements.
    • Individuals credentialed as Registered Dietitians prior to Jan 1, 2024 are eligible with a Bachelor’s degree that meets Academy requirements.
    • Successful completion of an accredited internship or coordinated program per ADA guidelines.
  • Experience with nutrition assessment, care planning, and working on interdisciplinary teams preferred.
  • Strong documentation skills and comfort using electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Excellent communication and teaching skills for working with older adults, families, and care teams.

Required Licenses & Certifications

  • Registration or registration-eligible with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
  • Licensed or license-eligible with the State of Iowa.
  • Current CPR/BCLS certification.
  • Maintain Adult Mandatory Reporter status.
  • ANSI-accredited food protection/safety certification (e.g., ServSafe Food Protection Manager) or obtain within 90 days of hire.
  • Valid driver’s license and valid auto insurance.

Schedule, Employment Type & Pay

  • Employment type: Contract / Part‑time.
  • Typical schedule: Monday–Friday with flexible hours.
  • Estimated compensation: $46,708 per year (estimated; actual pay may vary based on experience and hours). Pay and scheduling details will be discussed during the hiring process.
