What You’ll Do

The Confidential Client is hiring a part-time Proctor to administer official High School Equivalency (HSE), NHA CCMA and CPT, paraprofessional, and other approved assessments. You will ensure test security, follow testing protocols, and create a professional, supportive testing environment.

  • Verify examinee identification and complete required check-in procedures.
  • Enforce testing security: no phones, unauthorized materials, food, or drinks.
  • Give clear, consistent testing instructions and maintain testing boundaries.
  • Monitor examinees continuously to keep a quiet, orderly, and distraction-free environment.
  • Prepare and secure the testing room, computers, materials, and equipment before and after each session.
  • Record and report testing irregularities, technical problems, or policy violations immediately.
  • Retrieve and securely distribute testing results to designated staff.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential testing records.
  • Participate in staff meetings and required professional development and certification activities.

Schedule & Compensation

  • Employment type: Part-time
  • Standard hours per day: 4 hours (8:30 AM – 12:30 PM)
  • Work days: Tuesday – Thursday
  • Work year: Scheduled to work 120 total work days within the 2026–2027 school calendar
  • Pay: $40.00 per hour
  • Benefits: Not eligible for benefits
  • Reports to: Director of Adult Education

What We’re Looking For

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (required).
  • Experience: Prior proctoring experience or experience working in a school setting preferred.
  • Skills & attributes:
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining test security.
    • Professional, patient, and respectful communication style with examinees.
    • Basic computer skills and ability to prepare/operate standard office equipment.
    • Ability to follow detailed written and oral instructions and to exercise judgment within established procedures.
  • Physical: Ability to stand, walk, and occasionally lift or move 10–20 pounds (with reasonable accommodation as needed).
