About the Role

Confidential Client, a mission-driven legal services organization, is hiring a full-time Paralegal to support its Rapid Response Legal Collaborative (RRLC). Under attorney supervision, the paralegal will work on immigration-related matters, providing intake, case support, evidence preparation, and data tracking for clients detained by or at risk of detention by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct pre-screening and eligibility checks for clients and track all contacts and case documents
  • Field referrals from partner organizations and coordinate follow-up with clients via phone, mail, and email
  • Assist clients in obtaining supporting documents and completing application forms for immigration relief
  • Support legal research and draft legal documents under attorney supervision
  • Interview clients and witnesses; prepare affidavits, forms, and supporting materials for USCIS or Immigration Court filings
  • Manage data entry across internal and external case-management systems and help generate reports
  • Assist attorneys with evidence preparation and, as needed, with document translation and interpretation
  • Provide internal and external referrals to wraparound services (financial counseling, community partners)

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Fluency in Spanish required (verbal and written)
  • 1–2 years of immigration-related experience strongly preferred but not required
  • Experience working with immigrant communities of color, including LGBTQIA+ individuals, youth, and survivors of violence
  • Strong time and project management skills; ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Commitment to social justice and anti-racism values
  • Ability to work professionally with clients in crisis and maintain confidentiality

Preferred Skills & Attributes

  • Familiarity with USCIS forms and Immigration Court procedures
  • Experience with client intake, affidavit preparation, and evidence-gathering
  • Comfort with basic data systems and generating routine reports
  • Cultural humility and experience coordinating with community-based organizations
