Position Overview

This is an entry-level, full-time Paralegal role supporting two partners at a confidential client — a prominent personal injury law firm — in Lower Manhattan. The position is hybrid (majority onsite) and requires strong administrative skills, attention to detail, and excellent client communication.


Schedule & Compensation

This role is:

  • Full-time — Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST
  • Hybrid: 4 days onsite in Lower Manhattan (Financial District), 1 day remote
  • Pay: $65,000 per year + overtime eligibility + discretionary bonus
  • Benefits: Health, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, and other standard benefits

What You’ll Do

You will provide day-to-day administrative and case support to two partners, helping ensure excellent client service and smooth firm operations. Key responsibilities include:

  • Draft and file legal documents (pleadings, complaints, discovery requests, motions, subpoenas) and coordinate timely filings and service
  • Request, organize, and summarize client medical records, billing statements, and lien information for case evaluation and demand packages
  • Conduct intake interviews and maintain ongoing client communications throughout treatment
  • Liaise with medical providers, expert witnesses, and insurance adjusters
  • Prepare materials for trial and mediation (trial notebooks, deposition exhibits), calculate itemized damages, and schedule court dates and depositions
  • Support general administrative tasks and special projects as needed

What We’re Looking For

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least one year of administrative experience in a professional environment
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and written/verbal communication skills
  • Professional, client-focused attitude and willingness to assist on both major projects and daily administrative duties
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

Preferred skills (not required but helpful):

  • Prior exposure to personal injury matters or medical-record handling
  • Familiarity with court filing procedures and legal document preparation
  • Comfortable coordinating with medical professionals and experts
