What You’ll Do
The Packaging Coordinator supports packaging development, testing, documentation, and project coordination for packaging initiatives with a focus on performance, sustainability, and regulatory/commercial compliance. You will maintain packaging specifications, project timelines, testing records, pallet patterns, and status updates under the guidance of the Sustainable Packaging Manager. This role works cross-functionally with operations, sourcing, quality, and other internal stakeholders to support implementation of packaging solutions and ensure accurate, timely communication of project information.
- Maintain packaging specifications, item master data, project documentation, and related records in PLM, ERP, SharePoint, Smartsheet, and other systems.
- Coordinate packaging development, sustainability, commercialization, and continuous improvement projects under direction of the Packaging Manager.
- Create and maintain project plans, timelines, trackers, status reports, and supporting documentation for stakeholders.
- Support packaging testing activities (sample coordination, lab logistics, scheduling, documentation) in accordance with ASTM and ISTA standards.
- Compile, analyze, and summarize packaging performance, sustainability, and testing data to support recommendations.
- Document testing methodologies, results, corrective actions, and project outcomes per internal standards.
- Research packaging materials, technologies, suppliers, and sustainability trends to support innovation and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate supplier communications, sample requests, material tracking, and follow-up activities for packaging evaluations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external suppliers to implement packaging changes and maintain change control documentation.
- Develop and maintain pallet patterns, load configurations, shipping diagrams, artwork/labeling proofs, dielines, and related documentation to support distribution across wholesale, retail, and club channels.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in packaging or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
- 0–2 years of relevant experience (including internships, co-ops, administrative/project coordination, packaging, quality, sourcing, operations, or entry-level technical roles).
- Foundational understanding of packaging materials, documentation, project tracking, data entry, or testing processes preferred.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams preferred.
- Strong organization, attention to detail, and follow-through.
- Clear written and verbal communication; ability to summarize technical information for non-technical partners.
- Analytical mindset with emphasis on data and documentation accuracy.
- Curiosity about packaging sustainability and testing methods; willingness to learn.
- Problem-solving orientation and adaptability to shifting project needs.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $50,900 — $69,300 per year (range provided; actual pay commensurate with experience).
- Full-time position with standard benefits: medical, dental, vision, company-paid short- and long-term disability, life insurance, paid parental leave, paid time off, paid holidays, and 401(k) with company match.

Work Arrangement & Location
- Hybrid: primarily remote with onsite collaboration at the White River Junction, VT office approximately once per quarter.
- Ideal candidates will be located within ~120 miles of White River Junction, VT to support onsite activities when needed.
Physical Requirements & Travel
- Primarily desk-based work (home office and occasional onsite). Frequent use of keyboard, mouse, and video conferencing tools.
- Occasional standing, walking, bending, or reaching in office environments.
- May occasionally lift or move items up to 40 pounds.
- Visual acuity for reviewing documents and data.
- Travel: approximately 10% for vendor/supplier/factory visits and occasional visits to headquarters.

- This role reports into the Sustainable Packaging Manager (or assigned lead) and works cross-functionally.
