What You’ll Do
This Outside Sales Representative role is an entry-level territory sales position focused on building pipeline and relationships for a Confidential Client in the material handling / industrial equipment space. You will spend most days in the field and on the phone qualifying prospects, supporting account activity, and learning technical product features.
- Sell select material-handling products within an assigned geographic territory and/or to assigned accounts.
- Conduct 20–30 sales calls per day (in-person and by phone) to qualify prospects and generate leads.
- Track and follow up on leads, inquiries, and sales opportunities.
- Support and participate in corporate and local sales campaigns.
- Assist other sales team members with territory management and account communication when needed.
- Participate in training locally, in the field, and occasionally at corporate headquarters to deepen product and sales knowledge.
- Coordinate with branch and internal teams (service, parts, operations) to deliver a consistent customer experience.
Qualifications
The Confidential Client seeks motivated, customer-focused candidates who are ready to start a sales career in industrial equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organization and time-management abilities.
- Self-motivated, responsible, and comfortable working as part of a team.
- Intermediate computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office.
- Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
- Ability to safely operate lift trucks for product demonstrations (training provided).
- Comfortable making frequent outbound calls and in-person visits in the assigned territory.
Compensation & Benefits
- Estimated base: $54,093 per year (estimated).
