What You’ll Do

The Outside Sales Rep Trainee (Sales Associate) is an entry-level outside sales role focused on lead generation, account growth, customer relationships, and learning technical and commercial aspects of glazing and aluminum solutions through a structured 12–18 month training program. You will work in an assigned territory and support senior sales and operations leaders.

  • Generate new leads and support account growth through proactive outreach and relationship management
  • Participate in a 12–18 month training program with senior sales professionals and operations leaders
  • Learn fabrication workflows, product specifications, glazing fundamentals, and project take-offs
  • Prepare and document custom price quotations and update quote status through to order placement
  • Validate orders, assist with order changes, and coordinate with scheduling/production to meet delivery expectations
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, call notes, and simple forecasts
  • Conduct introductory sales calls, presentations, product demonstrations, and ride-alongs/customer visits
  • Escalate and follow up on service or product issues, coordinating across branch/regional teams
  • Provide market feedback on pricing, competition, and customer needs
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and ongoing product training
  • Provide backup support and perform other duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred — or equivalent education/experience
  • 0–2 years of outside sales, estimating, or customer-facing experience (new grads welcome)
  • Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and time-management skills
  • Ability to multi-task, stay organized, and maintain attention to detail
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office and CRM tools
  • Basic understanding of pricing, margins, and quote-to-order processes
  • Willingness and ability to travel overnight within an assigned territory as needed

Compensation & Schedule

  • Pay: $55,000–$65,000 per year
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday (field schedule will vary based on customer needs)
  • Benefits: Health, dental, vision, life insurance, and short/long-term disability coverage starting day one
  • Additional perks: Bonus opportunities; employer 401(k) match vested immediately after one year; employer HSA match (if applicable)
