What You’ll Do

The Outside Sales Rep Trainee (Sales Associate) participates in a structured 12–18 month sales training program and supports account growth across an assigned territory. You’ll work with senior sales professionals and operations teams to develop selling skills, build customer relationships, and learn product and fabrication fundamentals.

  • Generate new leads and support account growth through proactive outreach and relationship management
  • Learn fabrication workflows, product specifications, glazing/estimating fundamentals, and project take-offs
  • Build industry knowledge and apply it to customer-facing conversations and product demonstrations
  • Prepare custom price quotations for non-standard items and document all quotations accurately
  • Collaborate with scheduling and production to meet customer expectations and delivery timelines
  • Validate orders, process order changes, and maintain accurate customer and order files
  • Maintain CRM records, activity reporting, and simple sales forecasts
  • Conduct customer visits, introductory sales calls, presentations, and ride-alongs as applicable
  • Support negotiations and deal closures with Sales Managers and Operations Leaders
  • Escalate product or service issues and follow up to resolution
  • Provide market feedback on pricing, competition, and customer needs
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and ongoing product training
  • Perform other related duties and provide backup support to team members as assigned

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 0–2 years of outside sales, estimating, or customer-facing experience (new graduates encouraged to apply)
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask accurately
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, conflict-management, and time-management skills
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office and CRM tools to track activity and simple forecasts
  • Basic understanding of pricing, margins, and quote-to-order processes
  • Strong listening skills, attention to detail, and data collection ability
  • Ability to travel overnight within assigned territory as needed

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay: $55,000–$65,000 annually (reported range)
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday
  • Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and short/long-term disability — benefits start day one
