Role Overview

Confidential Client is seeking an Outside Property Claim Associate to join their property & casualty claims team. This remote-first role services insureds and agents in the Central, Northwest, and Southeast areas of Phoenix (territory-based). The position provides a structured 9–12 month training program to develop core claim-handling skills for 1st-party property claims, with progress toward independent claims handling after successful completion.

What You’ll Do

• Review, investigate, and document 1st-party property claims under supervision.
• Conduct field inspections at residential and commercial properties; establish scope of building and contents damage.
• Gather information from policyholders, claimants, witnesses, and third-party providers.
• Learn to interpret policies, analyze leases/contracts/by-laws and determine coverage application.
• Prepare written and/or computer-assisted damage estimates.
• Maintain accurate claim records in claim management systems and provide timely status updates to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Participate in structured classroom, virtual, and on-the-job training covering policies, systems, and procedures.
• Adapt to new technologies and support digital transformation efforts, including AI-assisted tools.
• Participate in the Catastrophe Response Program when deployed to support customers in other states.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Preferred

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Internship or prior experience in customer service or insurance.
• Willingness to obtain an active adjuster license where required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); willingness to learn claims and estimating software.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and customer-service orientation.
• Good judgment, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Minimum (Must Have)

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of customer service experience.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Physical & Licensing Requirements

• Role requires ability to access and inspect all areas of dwellings/structures; may involve climbing ladders (~38–49 lbs), walking roofs, and entering tight spaces (attics, crawl spaces). • Acquisition and maintenance of state Insurance License(s) and/or a UAS Remote Pilot Certification may be required by federal, state, or company policy. In many cases required licenses must be obtained within three months of hire and continuing education maintained.

Work Location & Travel

• Remote-first role with fieldwork in the assigned Phoenix-area territory. Candidate must reside in—or be willing to relocate at their own expense to—the assigned territory.
• Combination of mobile work, working from primary residence, and occasional office presence at the nearest company office.
• Participation in catastrophe deployments to other states may be required.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range (national market): $52,600 — $86,800 per year. Final compensation is based on candidate qualifications, experience, and location.
