Confidential Client (via Careertakes) is hiring an Orthopedic Rehabilitation Physical Therapist for an onsite, full-time contract position in Avenel, NJ. This role supports outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation patients recovering from surgery, injury, or chronic musculoskeletal conditions. The position offers a competitive salary range of $100,000–$120,000 per year (commensurate with experience) and a comprehensive benefits package.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments to develop individualized treatment plans.
• Communicate evaluation findings and care plans clearly to patients and families; involve patients in goal setting.
• Deliver evidence-based orthopedic treatments and adapt interventions as patient needs evolve.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation (evaluations, progress notes, discharge summaries) in compliance with clinic and legal standards.
• Modify treatment plans when needed and collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams.
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to process improvements and patient-care strategies.
• Support patient engagement and community outreach/marketing initiatives that promote health and wellness.
• Pursue ongoing professional development, supervision, and mentorship opportunities.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy required; Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred.
• Valid license to practice physical therapy in New Jersey.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers (AHA).
• Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work onsite at the Avenel rehabilitation facility.

Preferred Experience

• Internship or clinical experience in an orthopedic rehabilitation or outpatient setting.
• Familiarity with electronic documentation and scheduling systems.
• Experience working with a diverse adult patient population recovering from orthopedic surgeries or musculoskeletal injuries.
