Overview

Confidential Client (via Careertakes) is hiring a full-time Orthopedic Physical Therapist for an outpatient clinic in Fort Myers, FL. This role focuses on evidence-based orthopedic rehabilitation across a diverse patient population (athletes, post-surgical patients, chronic pain). The clinic offers a collaborative team environment, modern equipment, and a Monday–Friday schedule with weekends off.

What You’ll Do

• Conduct thorough evaluations, review medical history, and create individualized treatment plans.
• Explain findings and treatment goals clearly to patients and caregivers; involve patients in goal setting.
• Deliver evidence-based orthopedic interventions and progress care based on patient response.
• Coordinate with physicians, PT assistants, and support staff to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation that meets regulatory and payer requirements.
• Manage time effectively to meet productivity and scheduling expectations while delivering compassionate care.
• Participate in community outreach and patient education to grow clinic visibility and access.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and departmental objectives.
• Mentor students or junior clinicians and pursue continuing education to stay current clinically.

Qualifications

• DPT preferred; Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy or equivalent required.
• Current, unrestricted Florida physical therapy license at time of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong patient rapport.
• Commitment to professional development and lifelong learning.

• Experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting or completion of clinical internships in musculoskeletal care.
• New graduates with strong clinical internships and a growth mindset are encouraged to apply.
