What You’ll Do

  • Receive, process, track and report status of customer quote requests and orders in accordance with customer service standards.
  • Maintain informational exchanges and communications with internal groups and external partners contributing to order fulfillment.
  • Handle multiple quotes and orders simultaneously and prioritize work based on schedule demands.
  • Prepare and review quotes and proposals.
  • Receive, prioritize, and process customer orders.
  • Generate clear customer requirements for implementing teams and provide regular status reports for outstanding inquiries and orders.
  • Schedule and release orders for shipment per policy and customer requirements.
  • Prepare invoice/billing documents according to order terms.
  • Provide prompt resolution for warranty, suspense, deficiencies and other contract/purchase order issues.
  • Provide after-hours support for outages and emergencies as required.
  • Work with LTSA and Sales teams to develop and maintain a centralized tracking system (historical, current, planning).
  • Support process and procedure development; document process steps needed to complete daily functions.
  • Assist in investigation and resolution of routine problems and coordinate activities with other internal departments to meet customer needs.
  • Support Customer Master entry/maintenance and provide feedback to senior staff on important customer issues.
  • Perform other duties as required. Minimal overnight travel (<10%).

Qualifications

  • Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business-related field OR equivalent directly related work experience. Minimum ~3 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong customer-service focus with experience in order entry, quoting, or order management.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills; able to prepare reports, correspondence, and present information to managers and customers.
  • Comfortable handling numerical concepts (fractions, percentages, ratios) and basic statistical ideas as they apply to reporting.
  • Proficient with common office software: spreadsheets, word processing, email; familiarity with database and project-management tools is preferred.
  • Ability to interpret technical instructions, diagrams and handle several abstract and concrete variables.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, talk and hear.
  • Frequently lift/move up to 25 pounds; occasionally up to 50 pounds.
  • Occasional exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals depending on site; work environment may be loud.
  • May be required to follow customer safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (hardhat, safety glasses, hearing/fall protection) where applicable.

Compensation & Employment Type

  • Employment type: FULL_TIME.
  • Estimated pay: $57,770 per year (estimated).
