Overview
Confidential Client is seeking an entry-level Functional & Operations Strategy Analyst to join a strategy and operations team advising senior leaders on transformation, AI-enabled operating models, and function-level modernization. This role is based in Costa Mesa, CA and is an excellent fit for candidates who want hands-on experience solving ambiguous, high-impact business problems.
What You’ll Do
You will support engagements that connect strategy to execution for large clients. Typical responsibilities include:
- Tackle loosely defined problems and help shape the right question to answer
- Analyze operational, financial, and customer data to find actionable insights
- Build quantitative models and clear visualizations to support recommendations
- Use and learn AI-enabled tools and accelerators to increase analytic rigor and speed
- Communicate findings and recommendations to senior client stakeholders
- Support design of operating models, processes, governance, and transformation roadmaps
- Travel to client sites as required (up to 50% on average)

Required Qualifications
This is an entry-level opportunity intended for candidates building a career in strategy and operations. Required:
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and expected to graduate by Spring/Summer 2027 with a bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Operations, Supply Chain, or related liberal arts
- Strong academic track record (3.3 cumulative GPA required; 3.5 preferred)
- Must live within a commutable distance to the assigned Costa Mesa, CA office (e.g., ~100-mile radius) with ability to commute as required
- Ability to travel up to 50% on average based on client needs
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future
- Candidates must be at least 18 years of age at time of employment
Compensation & Location
- Location: Costa Mesa, CA (on-site/ client travel as required)
- Estimated compensation (provided by Confidential Client): $105,000 (reasonable estimate). This figure is an estimate and individual compensation depends on experience, skills, and other factors.
