Role Overview

Confidential Client is hiring an Entry‑Level Operations Specialist (Trade Operations / Settlements) for a hybrid position in Addison, NY. This is a 12‑month contract (possible extension or conversion to full time) with an hourly pay range of $21–$23/hr. Typical hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM. Start: ASAP.

What You’ll Do

• Process and document brokerage/trade transactions and support trade settlement activities.
• Reconcile and investigate trading discrepancies; escalate exceptions to appropriate teams.
• Communicate with internal partners (advisors, operations, back‑office) to ensure timely, accurate settlements.
• Maintain accurate trade records and update systems (MS Excel, Access, SharePoint) per process guidelines.
• Assist with routine reporting, data entry, and operational audits.
• Participate in process improvements and learn standard operating procedures for trade lifecycle management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. Recent graduates welcome.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel required; Access, Word, Outlook, SharePoint preferred).
• Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Analytical mindset with ability to research and resolve transaction discrepancies.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams in a hybrid environment.

• Internship or coursework in finance, brokerage, banking operations, or settlements.
• Exposure to back‑office banking or brokerage applications.
• Basic familiarity with trade lifecycle, settlements, and reconciliation concepts.
