Role Overview
Confidential Client is seeking an Entry-Level Transportation & Warehouse Operations Manager Trainee to join their logistics team in Shenandoah, LA. This is a hands-on training program designed to develop future operations leaders by rotating through transportation, dock, and warehouse activities while learning to manage safety, service and cost KPIs.
What You’ll Do
- Support daily transportation and warehouse operations, including dispatch, routing, and dock activities.
- Monitor and report on KPIs for safety, service, and cost; prepare routine performance reports.
- Assist with staffing, scheduling, and training of frontline operations teams.
- Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and company safety and operational policies.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to maximize fleet availability and equipment utilization.
- Support inventory control, shipment accuracy, and on-time delivery commitments.
- Analyze operational data to identify inefficiencies and recommend process improvements.
- Resolve operational issues and communicate status updates to internal teams and customers.
- Participate in continuous improvement and lean initiatives to drive productivity.
- Develop leadership and management skills to transition into an Operations Manager role.
Qualifications (Required)
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, logistics, or a related field.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and common office productivity tools.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to work varied shifts as needed.
- Ability to learn and apply DOT and OSHA regulatory requirements.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
- Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or other process-improvement methodologies.
- Prior coursework, internship, or exposure to transportation/warehouse operations.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $78,000 - $105,000 per year.

Location & Schedule
This role is based in Shenandoah, Louisiana. On-site presence is required; schedule may include varied shifts to support 24/7 operations.
