Role Summary

Careertakes is supporting a Confidential Client in the Logistics & Warehouse industry who is hiring an entry-level Operations Management Trainee. This rotational, hands-on role provides training across warehouse and transportation operations with a clear pathway to leadership. You will support daily operations, learn scheduling and routing, help manage inventory and KPIs, support safety and compliance, and assist with customer communications using warehouse and transportation management systems.

What You’ll Do

• Support day-to-day warehouse and transportation operations
• Assist with driver scheduling, routing, and shipment coordination
• Monitor inventory levels and support cycle counts and audits
• Track KPIs for safety, on-time performance, and productivity
• Help enforce safety, quality, and regulatory compliance standards
• Support process improvement and continuous improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with supervisors on staffing and workflow planning
• Use transportation and warehouse management systems to manage orders and data
• Assist with customer communication and issue resolution
• Prepare basic reports and documentation for operations leadership

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, business, or a related field
• Internship or project experience in operations, logistics, or supply chain preferred
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and basic data analysis fundamentals
• Safety and compliance awareness and the ability to follow process controls
• Willingness to work flexible shifts in an operations environment (day, evening, or weekend as needed)
• Ability to meet the client’s background check and safety requirements
• Strong communication and customer-service orientation
• Problem-solving mindset with an interest in continuous improvement

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or transportation management systems (TMS)
• Experience with fleet coordination or transportation operations
• Coursework or certifications in logistics, supply chain, Lean, or Six Sigma fundamentals

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per year
