What You’ll Do

This Operations Management Trainee (OMT) program is an accelerated, hands-on manufacturing leadership track designed to launch an engineering career in production and plant leadership. As an OMT you will:

  • Begin with an 8-week onsite training program in Dalton, GA that covers company operations, products, facilities, processes, and leadership development.
  • Be assigned to a manufacturing facility after training to apply technical skills and support ongoing plant projects.
  • Work closely with engineering teams on real-world problems—process improvements, project execution, automation support, and root-cause analysis.
  • Gain practical experience across areas such as Process Engineering, Project Engineering, Technical Engineering, Automation, and Industrial Engineering.
  • Complete the program (typically ~6 months) with the opportunity to interview for a permanent entry-level engineering role aligned to your strengths.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Materials, Automation Engineering, Operations Management, or a related technical field.
  • Co-op or internship experience is strongly preferred but not required.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability, strong communication, and a drive to learn in a manufacturing environment.

Salary & Schedule

  • Salary range: $63,000–$94,000 per year.
  • Typical hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (may vary by facility and training schedule).
  • Employment types: Full-time and internship opportunities are included in the program.

Locations & Relocation

Primary training location: Dalton, GA (8-week onsite). Placements after training may include facilities across the Southeast, such as Andalusia, AL; Aiken, SC; Columbia, SC; Bainbridge, GA; Thomson, GA; Cartersville, GA; Ringgold, GA; Adairsville, GA; Calhoun, GA; and other nearby sites.
