Role Overview

Confidential Client is hiring entry-level engineers for its Early Career/Graduate program supporting operations across Gulf Coast industrial and manufacturing sites. These onsite roles (primarily in Texas and Louisiana) place recent graduates into Operations/Manufacturing, Maintenance, EH&S, and Emergency Services & Security teams. Candidates will support safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations and gain broad hands-on experience across engineering disciplines.

What You’ll Do

• Support day-to-day plant operations, troubleshooting, and process optimization.
• Work with operators and maintenance to diagnose and resolve production issues.
• Help implement continuous improvement projects to increase yield and reduce waste.
• Participate in safety and environmental compliance activities and risk mitigation.
• Assist with equipment design, modification, and new technology implementation.
• Support capital projects from planning through execution and handover.
• Communicate across multi-disciplinary teams to deliver project and operational results.

Sample Responsibilities by Discipline

• Chemical Engineer: production or improvement engineering, process troubleshooting, yield improvements, process control, waste reduction.
• Mechanical Engineer: maintenance & reliability, failure analysis, piping & vessel support, equipment design, predictive maintenance.
• Electrical Engineer: power plant operations, MCC/transformer/switchgear support, instrumentation troubleshooting, motor control.
• Other Engineering Majors (Civil, Industrial, Materials): duties aligned to the hiring department’s needs (e.g., facilities support, process flow, materials testing).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Industrial, Materials Engineering, or related engineering majors.
• Graduation date no later than September 2027.
• No more than two (2) years of relevant full-time work experience post-graduation.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis. No visa sponsorship or green-card sponsorship/support is available for this position.
• Willingness to work onsite at Gulf Coast facilities; some sites require TWIC credentialing where applicable.

Preferred Qualifications

• GPA of 3.0 or higher (on a 4.0 scale).
• Enrollment in or graduation from an ABET-accredited program.
• Relevant internship or co-op experience in plant operations, maintenance, or process engineering.

Your Skills

• Strong process troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
• Safety-first mindset with experience or interest in risk management and regulatory compliance.
• Continuous improvement orientation (Lean, Six Sigma concepts preferred).
• Project support and execution skills for technical and capital projects.
• Effective communication and collaboration with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams.

Location & Work Type

• Workplace Type: Onsite (positions available in Texas and Louisiana — examples include Freeport, Texas City, La Marque, and nearby Gulf Coast locations).
• Note: Some facilities are TWIC-designated (per the Maritime Transportation Security Act). If assigned to a TWIC site, you must be willing and able to complete TWIC credentialing and meet documentation requirements.

Compensation & Benefits

• Estimated base (reported): $97,707 per year — this is an estimate from the source posting and may vary by location and experience.
