What You’ll Do
Under general supervision, support and monitor mission‑critical IT systems to maintain operational stability. Provide Tier 2 support for moderately complex technical issues, manage incident response activities, and maintain accurate runbooks and system documentation.
- Monitor infrastructure, application, mainframe, network, and database health for abnormalities that could impact operations.
- Triage and progress service desk tickets; provide timely status updates to stakeholders.
- Escalate alerts and system failures to appropriate teams and coordinate cross‑functional responses.
- Take remedial actions on system alerts where appropriate and engage subject‑matter experts when needed.
- Participate in Major Incident calls: supply data, execute assigned tasks, and coordinate resource engagement.
- Support weekly maintenance windows for mainframe and BIPS refresh activities.
- Perform manual administrative or ad‑hoc tasks requested by employees, customers, or vendors to preserve platform stability.
- Diagnose and resolve moderately complex technical issues within assigned systems.
- Review, update, and validate system documentation to enable knowledge sharing and standardization.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer & Information Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field — OR an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
- At least 3 years of experience in Information Technology or Systems support with hands‑on exposure to monitoring, incident response, and Tier 2 troubleshooting.
- Experience working with mainframe operations, service desk workflows, or enterprise application support is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for cross‑functional coordination and incident reporting.
- This position is not eligible for employment‑based sponsorship.
Preferred / Helpful Skills
- Familiarity with mainframe maintenance windows and BIPS refresh processes.
- Experience with infrastructure monitoring tools, alerting platforms, and ticketing systems.
- Basic knowledge of database connectivity troubleshooting and network availability diagnostics.
- Prior experience in transportation, logistics, or other operations‑intensive environments is a plus.
