What You’ll Do

The Operations Analyst role supports commercial and specialized waste operations through structured data analysis, research, and administrative support. This is an entry-level, contract-to-hire opportunity where you will help identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, optimize services, and reduce customer costs by working with established procedures and cross-functional teams.

• Support analysis of commercial and specialized waste programs by reviewing operational performance and identifying efficiency opportunities
• Collect, organize, and review operational, financial, and service data to support reporting and decision-making
• Assist with evaluating vendor pricing, service levels, utilization, and contract details to ensure cost-effective service delivery
• Support cost reduction and service optimization initiatives following company procedures and guidelines
• Assist on specialized waste projects (hazardous, non-hazardous, regulated streams) while adhering to applicable regulations
• Prepare reports, maintain documentation, and keep customer and vendor records up to date in company systems
• Use company-approved analytical tools (reporting platforms, Excel, video analysis tools) to support operational reviews
• Collaborate with Sales, Vendor Management, and Customer Management to support cross-functional initiatives
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support operations and business needs

Who You Are / Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree (completed or in progress) in Business Administration, Operations Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, Transportation, Environmental Science, Finance, or related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; comfortable working with quantitative and qualitative data
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple datasets and tasks accurately
• Ability to interpret data and identify trends that support operational improvements and cost savings
• Willingness and ability to learn technical processes, business systems, and regulatory requirements related to waste operations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the broader Microsoft Office suite
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for report preparation and stakeholder collaboration
• Foundational data entry and data analysis capabilities relevant to operations work

Nice-to-have Skills & Experience

• Internship or entry-level experience in operations, logistics, transportation, environmental services, or business analysis
• Experience using ERP, CRM, reporting, or project management software
• Interest in specialized waste operations, including hazardous and regulated streams
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within established procedures and guidelines
• Eagerness to develop new skills and take on increasing responsibility as proficiency grows

Work Environment & Schedule

This is a fully onsite, office-based role with an expectation of working five days per week in Atlanta, GA. The role involves frequent computer use and work with analytical tools and reporting platforms. You will coordinate closely with internal teams and follow structured processes and regulatory requirements for waste operations.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay range: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
• Contract-to-hire classification; eligibility for benefits may depend on job classification and length of employment
