Overview

Confidential Client is hiring an On-Premise Market Development Representative to grow on‑premise distribution and drive volume for their beverage portfolio in the Honolulu, HI territory. This is a part‑time contractor field sales role focused on building accounts, executing merchandising and promotional programs, and partnering with distributors and on‑premise operators to increase brand presence.


What You’ll Do

As an On‑Premise Market Development Representative you will:

  • Craft and implement growth solutions to increase business for assigned accounts.
  • Execute in‑store and on‑premise selling, merchandising, and promotional programs with distributors and accounts.
  • Use consumer and category trends to educate customers, address challenges, and grow sales.
  • Drive distribution, merchandising, display, and retail promotion goals to meet volume targets.
  • Build strong relationships with assigned customers by understanding their needs and delivering value.
  • Serve as the communication lead between customers, wholesalers, and internal teams.
  • Track and report on KPIs to measure progress against objectives.

Job responsibilities may vary by state depending on regulatory requirements.


Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of professional field sales experience in alcohol‑beverage or CPG industries (or equivalent).
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • New graduates: sales/marketing internship or sales experience and/or sales competition experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to deliver volume achievements, distribution gains, and successful retail promotions.
  • Comfortable using sales data analytics and tools to identify trends and drive measurable results.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within an assigned territory.
  • Flexibility to work non‑traditional hours (evenings and weekends as required).
  • Must live in or near the assigned territory.
  • Ability to personally cover ordinary, essential business expenses (prompt reimbursement provided).
  • Required to obtain a solicitor’s permit where applicable.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Estimated base pay: $86,079 per year (estimated; base salary figure provided by source).
  • Confidential Client provides additional benefits for eligible positions, which may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off. Benefit eligibility and details vary by location and work type.
  • For commercial roles, salary shown typically refers to base pay only and may not include car allowance, annual bonus, fuel or phone reimbursement.
