Role overview

Confidential Client is hiring a Software Engineer to join a Simulation–First team building digital twins and real-time 3D simulation applications using NVIDIA Omniverse and related technologies. This hybrid role (Rochester, MN) focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining scalable simulation and digital twin solutions that integrate 3D environments, cloud services, robotics, and AI/ML to model clinical workflows, automation, and facility operations.


What you’ll do

  • Design, develop, and maintain simulation and digital twin applications using NVIDIA Omniverse, real‑time 3D tech, and modern software frameworks.
  • Integrate 3D models with data pipelines, cloud services, robotic systems, automation tools, and AI/ML workflows.
  • Build resilient, high‑performance services that meet uptime and accuracy targets as data volumes and traffic scale.
  • Implement deployment automation and configuration management using tools such as Azure DevOps, Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Puppet, or similar.
  • Participate in Agile product delivery, DevOps practices, CI/CD, code reviews, and automated testing.
  • Collaborate with product owners, architects, data engineering, and platform teams to translate requirements into production code.
  • Troubleshoot complex system issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and document solutions and engineering decisions.
  • Contribute reusable simulation capabilities and support documentation for handoffs and ongoing maintenance.

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; OR Associate’s degree plus 2 additional years of relevant experience.
  • 1–2+ years of hands‑on experience building applications or services in a high‑level language (examples: Python, C++, Golang, Java, C#).
  • Working knowledge of professional software engineering practices across the full SDLC (source control, testing, builds, code review).
  • Familiarity with modern application development frameworks and Agile methodologies.
  • Strong problem solving, communication, and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement maintainable software solutions.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with simulation engineering, digital twins, or development of 3D environments.
  • Hands‑on experience with NVIDIA Omniverse (Isaac Sim, USD Composer) or similar platforms.
  • Experience with robotics and ROS or integration of robotic systems into simulation environments.
  • Experience with real‑time 3D engines such as Unity or Unreal Engine.
  • Cloud experience (Azure, GCP, AWS) and familiarity with cloud‑native patterns.
  • Experience building high‑performance, highly available, and scalable distributed systems.
  • Background in data engineering, analytics, big data systems, or BI tools.
  • Experience creating synthetic data pipelines for AI/ML model training.
  • Prior work in healthcare or healthcare‑adjacent software is a plus.

Compensation & benefits

  • Salary range: $102,336.00 – $143,270.40 per year (range provided by Confidential Client; final offer will reflect experience, education, and internal equity).

Work model & location

  • This is a hybrid role based in Rochester, MN. Candidates must be located within 100 miles of the Rochester campus and be available to work on‑site approximately 3 days per week.
  • Schedule: Full‑time, M–F 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (typical).

  • Exempt, full‑time position.
  • NOTE: This vacancy is not eligible for sponsorship. Confidential Client will not sponsor or transfer visas for this position and does not participate in the F‑1 STEM OPT extension program.
