Compensation & Schedule

This is a per-diem / part-time Occupational Therapist role based in Schiller Park, IL.

  • Hourly pay range: $35.16 - $54.50 per hour (based on experience)
  • Estimated annual pay (for reference): $99,082 (estimate)
  • Schedule: Days, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM; rotating weekends and holidays; hours as needed

What You’ll Do

Provide high-quality inpatient occupational therapy services to physician-referred patients to maximize functional outcomes and safety.

  • Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Deliver direct, group, monitored, and consultative therapy interventions
  • Plan and support patient discharge and follow-up care
  • Communicate and collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, multidisciplinary team members, patients, and caregivers
  • Prepare and maintain accurate patient records: evaluations, progress notes, discharge summaries, and billing documentation in accordance with Medicare, third-party payers, and accrediting bodies
  • Ensure patient care billing for treatment and equipment follows policy
  • Assist with equipment organization, scheduling, and clinic workflow
  • Report patient progress at staffing and clinical conferences
  • Participate in bi-monthly OT staff meetings and in the supervision of OT students and volunteers as assigned

What You’ll Need

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program (Bachelor of Science or Master’s) approved by AOTA and relevant accrediting bodies
  • Licensure: Licensed or eligible for licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the State of Illinois
  • Certification: Basic Life Support / CPR certification (or ability to obtain)
  • Experience: Entry-level candidates are welcome; clinical affiliations in physical dysfunction or inpatient settings preferred
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, solid organization and time-management, and the ability to work independently in a clinical environment
