What You’ll Do
As an Occupational Therapist with our confidential client you will provide patient-centered occupational therapy services in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting. Typical responsibilities include:
- Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans to address patients’ functional goals
- Use evidence-based therapeutic approaches to improve independence, mobility, and safety
- Perform thorough assessments of physical, cognitive, and functional abilities to identify needs and strengths
- Train patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques, assistive devices, and home safety
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members (PT, SLP, nursing, social work) to coordinate care
- Document evaluations, plans of care, and progress according to regulatory and facility policies
- Participate in discharge planning and functional outcome measurement
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current Occupational Therapist licensure in New Jersey (required)
- Clinical skills across adult and geriatric populations; experience in skilled nursing or post-acute care is a plus
- Strong assessment, clinical reasoning, and documentation skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
