What You’ll Do

Confidential client’s North Liberty outpatient rehab therapy team is seeking an Occupational Therapist with hand therapy focus to provide high-quality outpatient care for patients with complex physical dysfunctions, disorders, and injuries. This role emphasizes upper-limb rehabilitation and splint fabrication in an orthopedic outpatient setting.

• Provide patient evaluation, assessment and individualized treatment plans.
• Deliver hand and upper-limb rehabilitation, including customized splint fabrication.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home treatment programs and precautions.
• Perform routine administrative tasks related to patient care (documentation, scheduling, etc.).
• Participate in quality/process improvement activities and recommend service improvements.
• Attend and contribute to educational programs; provide clinical education as assigned.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team; maintain professional relationships with staff, faculty, students and the public.
• Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.

Schedule & Workload

• Percent of Time: 100%
• Clinic hours: flexible shifts within 7:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m., Monday–Friday (schedules may vary based on staffing needs)

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay: $6.00 per hour (as listed)
• Pay Grade: 06

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Occupational Therapy.
• Entry-level experience in occupational therapy in an outpatient setting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Licensure in accordance with the Iowa Board of Physical and Occupational Therapy is required.

Desirable Qualifications

• 1–3 years’ experience in Occupational Therapy.
• 1–3 years’ experience rehabilitating the upper limb (wrist and hand), including fabrication of customized splints.
• 1–3 years’ experience evaluating and treating patients with musculoskeletal disorders.
• Ability to function well on a multidisciplinary team.
• Demonstrated leadership in work or academic settings.
