What You'll Do
You will provide high-quality, patient-centered occupational therapy in an outpatient setting for a confidential client. Responsibilities include:
- Evaluate patients and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans based on physical assessment and clinical judgment.
- Deliver one‑on‑one therapy sessions (no overlapping appointments) across a range of outpatient populations.
- Document care accurately and efficiently; dedicated documentation time is scheduled.
- Collaborate with rehab support specialists, rehab techs, clinical leads, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Participate in structured mentorship and ongoing professional development.
- Help design and expand specialty programs (examples: pelvic health, aquatics, lymphedema, work rehab).
- Support quality‑improvement initiatives and maintain clinical competency.
Caseload & Clinical Areas
You’ll work with diverse outpatient populations. Clinical opportunities include:
- Aquatics
- Orthopedics & Sports Rehabilitation
- Geriatrics & Pediatrics
- Pelvic Health
- Neurological Rehabilitation
- Work Rehabilitation
- Lymphedema & Wound Care
Who We're Looking For
Minimum qualifications and skills:
- Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy, entry‑level Master’s degree, or entry‑level Doctorate in OT.
- Vermont occupational therapy license or eligibility to obtain licensure in Vermont.
- BLS preferred.
- Strong assessment, treatment‑planning, and documentation skills.
- Excellent communication, clinical judgment, and ability to work independently and in teams.
- Comfortable working in an outpatient clinic and learning specialty programs.
- Three to six months to become proficient in assigned duties (department provides mentorship and protected onboarding).
