What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring Registered Nurses for the Employee Occupational Health Float Pool (Intermittent). As a float-pool occupational health RN you will provide clinical care, prevention and education focused on employee health and workplace safety across assigned sites. Typical responsibilities include:
- Provide occupational health assessments, triage, and treatment for employees and veterans as assigned
- Administer immunizations and screening programs (e.g., TB, bloodborne pathogen exposure follow-up)
- Conduct work-related injury/illness assessments, first aid, and return-to-work coordination
- Document clinical encounters, maintain accurate medical records and follow clinic protocols
- Collaborate with supervisors, leadership and interdisciplinary teams to support employee health and safety programs
- Participate in quality improvement, evidence-based practice initiatives, and periodic trainings
- Float between units and clinics as needed to cover staffing gaps and support variable schedules
Qualifications
Required
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted RN license in a U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ADN, Diploma, BSN, or higher) or equivalent foreign credential with recognized validation
- English language proficiency sufficient for safe, professional patient care and documentation
- Ability to provide clinical care, follow protocols, and work independently in a float/coverage model
Licensure / Education notes (per qualification standards)
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Diploma may qualify at entry levels; BSN/MSN/Doctoral degrees may be required for higher levels according to experience and dimension criteria
- Graduate Nurse Technician (GNT) exception may apply for candidates meeting education requirements but still pursuing licensure (temporary appointment conditions may apply)
- Candidates with foreign nursing education should provide formal degree equivalency evaluation where applicable
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in occupational/employee health, infection control, or ambulatory clinic settings
- Experience working in float pools or with varied clinical assignments
- Evidence of leadership, professional development, and participation in quality improvement or research initiatives
- BLS/ACLS certification as required by assignment
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range (provided by confidential client): $71,488 – $147,277 per year
- Pay will be commensurate with experience, licensure level, and grade assignment
- Benefits and specifics depend on the hiring arrangement (contractor vs. full-time) and will be shared by the hiring organization during the process
Location & Schedule
- Job location: Idaho City, ID
- Role supports float coverage across assigned clinics/facilities. Schedule is intermittent/variable depending on operational needs.
- Must be able to travel/float between sites as required.
