What You’ll Do

This is a clinical Nutritionist role supporting inpatient and outpatient care. Working under the supervision of the Clinical Nutrition Manager and/or a Registered Dietitian, you will:

• Perform nutrition assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Monitor patient progress and adjust plans in collaboration with the care team
• Provide patient and family education and counseling on therapeutic diets and nutrition-related behavior change
• Assist with department regulatory compliance (JCAHO, federal, state, and local regulations)
• Support development, implementation, and maintenance of departmental policies, procedures, and standards of work
• Conduct in-service training and contribute to continuous improvement of patient satisfaction
• Investigate and resolve patient concerns related to food quality or service
• Place orders for supplies and coordinate routine maintenance of equipment and facilities
• Complete additional duties as assigned by the Clinical Nutrition Manager

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related nutrition/health sciences
• Currently completing (or completed) an Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics–approved internship or clinical experience
• Must successfully pass the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) exam
• Obtain licensure in the State of Tennessee from the Board of Dietitian/Nutritionist Examiners within 12 months of employment
• Ability to work collaboratively in a hospital setting and maintain accurate, timely documentation (documentation will be co-signed by a Registered Dietitian as required)

Preferred / Valuable Experience

• Prior clinical nutrition experience in an acute-care or outpatient setting
• Strong patient education and counseling skills
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams
• Familiarity with JCAHO and other healthcare regulatory standards

Work Location & Schedule

• Location: Cookeville, TN
• Employment type: Full-time (per the source post)
• On-site clinical role (not remote). Shift details and schedule will be discussed during interview.

Compensation

• Estimated base pay: $48,988 per year (estimated). Actual pay will depend on experience, licensure, and internal pay bands.
