What You’ll Do
This entry-level Nurse Resident position (5W Cardiology, Day/Night rotation) provides supervised, patient-centered nursing care as part of a structured Nurse Residency Program. You’ll work on a cardiology/telemetry unit delivering bedside nursing under the guidance of a registered nurse and departmental leadership while completing clinical and educational competencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe, high-quality direct patient care using the nursing process and unit-specific competencies.
- Perform systematic assessments of patients and families; develop culturally competent plans of care.
- Administer medications and treatments per policy and document care thoroughly.
- Deliver age-appropriate care across the adult cardiology/telemetry population.
- Monitor, evaluate, and adapt plans of care based on patient response.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, interdisciplinary team members, and leadership.
- Support patient and family education about diagnoses, treatments, and preventive measures.
- Assist and coordinate care with assistive personnel and other clinical staff.
- Participate in the Nurse Residency Program, mandatory education, and unit-based competency training.
- Contribute to quality improvement, regulatory readiness, and a culture of safety and clinical scholarship.

Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of a state‑approved and/or accredited School of Nursing.
- BSN preferred.
- Current license to practice professional nursing from the Massachusetts Board of Registration — graduating nursing students must provide NCLEX registration documentation when eligible.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- 0–1 years related work experience (entry-level/new grads welcome).
Schedule & Compensation
- Employment type: Full‑time.
- Shift: Day/Night rotation (unit schedule determined by Nurse Leadership).
- Pay Range: $37.00 per hour (base hourly rate). Actual compensation may vary based on experience, shift differentials, overtime, and other legally permitted factors.

- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to client policies and standards of behavior.
- Demonstrate accountability for nursing practice and patient safety.
- Complete required mandatory education, emergency skills, and unit competencies.
- Participate in departmental quality improvement activities.
- As a health care organization, our client requires annual influenza vaccination as a condition of employment, subject to applicable medical or religious exemptions per law.
