Position overview
Confidential Client is hiring for a Licensed Nurse (Nurse) to provide direct patient care in Kings Point, NY. This is a full-time, contract role with a competitive pay range and opportunities across entry and advanced clinical levels. What You’ll Do
You will deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team. Typical responsibilities include:
- Perform patient assessments, plan and implement nursing interventions, and evaluate outcomes
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies according to scope of practice and policy
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other clinicians to coordinate care
- Provide patient and family education and support
- Participate in quality improvement, patient-safety initiatives, and evidence-based practice
- Adhere to federal/state licensing, facility policies, and professional standards
Who we’re looking for (Required Qualifications)
Candidates must meet the regulatory and professional requirements listed below:
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted registration/licensure as a professional nurse (RN) in a U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (ACEN or CCNE accreditation expected for BSN/BSN-equivalent programs)
- English language proficiency sufficient for safe and effective clinical communication
- Clinical competence appropriate to assigned patient population and care setting
- For applicants with foreign nursing education: a recognized degree equivalency evaluation (for example, ICD) where required
Graduate Nurse Technician (GNT) exception: candidates who meet education requirements but are actively pursuing licensure may be appointed temporarily (per local policy) while completing licensure requirements.
Preferred experience & clinical levels
The role accepts multiple clinical grade/level credentials depending on education and experience. Examples:
- Nurse I, Level I: ADN/Diploma with foundational clinical capability
- Nurse I, Level II: ADN/Diploma + 1 year of specialized experience OR BSN
- Nurse I, Level III: ADN/Diploma + 2 years (one year equivalent to Level II) OR BSN + 1 year, or MSN with no additional experience
- Nurse II / Nurse III: advanced practice, leadership, or specialist tracks with corresponding MSN/Doctoral credentials and experience
Preferred: 1–2 years of nursing experience for many openings; higher-level positions require progressive specialized experience.
