What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is seeking a skilled Nurse to provide clinical care and support patient-centered services in a fast-paced healthcare setting. This role is a contract, full-time position based in Ann Arbor, MI.
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care consistent with scope and level (Nurse I–III) assigned
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care; document clinical findings and interventions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate Veteran/patient-driven care
- Lead or participate in evidence-based practice, quality improvement, and professional development activities as required by level
- Support referral management and transition-of-care processes
- Follow infection control, safety and employee health protocols
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must meet the basic requirements below to be considered:
- English language proficiency sufficient for safe, effective patient care
- Graduation from an accredited professional nursing program (ACEN or CCNE) OR equivalent qualifications described below
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted RN registration/license in any U.S. state, territory, commonwealth, or D.C.
- If applicable, foreign-educated nurses must have current, full, active registration and may need a formal degree equivalency (e.g., ICD)
- Graduate Nurse Technician (GNT) exception: candidates meeting education requirements but lacking immediate licensure may be appointed temporarily while pursuing state licensure (120-day initial appointment; extensions considered case-by-case)
- Grade and level will be determined based on education, experience and demonstrated dimensions (Practice, Veteran/Patient-Driven Care, Leadership, Professional Development, Evidence-Based Practice/Research)
Education & Experience by Level
- Nurse I, Level I: ADN or Diploma in Nursing
- Nurse I, Level II: ADN/Diploma + 1 year specialized experience OR BSN
- Nurse I, Level III: ADN/Diploma + 2 years professional experience (one year at Level II) OR BSN + 1 year at Level II OR MSN
- Nurse II: BSN + 2 years (equivalent to Nurse I, Level III) OR MSN + applicable experience
- Nurse III: MSN + 2 years specialized experience (one year equivalent to Nurse II) OR doctoral level credentials with required experience
Preferred Experience
- Referral management and care coordination experience
- Demonstrated leadership, clinical judgment, and evidence-based practice participation
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
- Visual acuity, clear speech and hearing, and manual dexterity required
- Physical demands may include prolonged standing, walking, bending, lifting and transferring patients (mechanical lifts provided)
- Possible exposure to infectious materials; appropriate PPE and isolation procedures required
- May encounter patients with cognitive or behavioral challenges; maturity and flexibility required
- Must complete annual employee health requirements (e.g., TB screening/testing)
Compensation & Employment Type
- Pay range: $81,479 — $139,574 per year
- Employment type: Contract, Full time
- Location: Ann Arbor, MI

Licenses & Clearances
- Active RN license as required by state practice laws is mandatory prior to or upon appointment per the grade rules
- Compliance with any state-specific licensure or credentialing requirements is the candidate’s responsibility
