About the Role

Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Systems Engineer focused on C2 (command-and-control) integration. This New Grad / early-career role supports development and integration of unmanned systems, autonomy stacks, and C2 workflows. The position is remote-eligible with an authoritative location of Costa Mesa, CA, and requires the ability to obtain DoD security clearance.

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (software, hardware, autonomy, test) to define system requirements and architecture for C2 integration.
• Design, validate, and maintain system components that connect air/ground/command elements.
• Contribute to documentation of system design, interfaces, and engineering practices.
• Support integration and test activities, including lab and field testing.
• Troubleshoot system issues and propose design improvements.
• Communicate progress and technical tradeoffs clearly to engineers and stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, Computer Science, Physics, or related).
• Demonstrated ownership and impact through internships, projects, or coursework.
• Strong interest in systems engineering, C2 concepts, and unmanned systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Able and willing to obtain a DoD security clearance.
• Ability to travel up to 25% for testing and integration activities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace engineering or related field.
• Hands-on experience with robotic or unmanned systems.
• Familiarity with IP-based networking and command-and-control architectures.
• Experience with air vehicle systems, ground control systems, or sensor fusion.
• Familiarity with software-in-the-loop / hardware-in-the-loop testing and integration workflows.

Compensation & Benefits

• US base salary range (estimate): $100,000 — $145,000 per year (base salary only). Actual offer will depend on experience, education, and other factors.
• Remote-eligible role; authoritative location: Costa Mesa, CA.
