What You’ll Do
- Provide safe, patient‑centered nursing care on a medical‑surgical unit.
- Collect vital signs, monitor patient status, and document findings accurately.
- Administer IV and other medications safely and per policy.
- Implement and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members (physicians, therapists, social work).
- Maintain a therapeutic and safe patient environment.
- Participate in orientation, training, and ongoing professional development.
Qualifications
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or active RN applicant status.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA) preferred upon hire; required prior to direct patient care if not held at hire.
- Clinical skills appropriate for med‑surg care (IV medication administration, patient assessment, charting).
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize in a fast‑paced environment.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred but not required.
