Position Overview

Confidential Client is hiring a New Grad Registered Nurse (RN) for the 5E Acute Care Surgery Unit in Richmond, VA. This is a full-time, day-shift role (scheduled weekly hours: 36) focused on entry-level Med-Surg care. The position includes a $5,000 sign-on bonus and competitive hourly pay.

What You’ll Do

• Deliver safe, compassionate, entry-level nursing care to medical and surgical patients on an acute care surgery unit
• Assess patient status and implement clinical nursing interventions
• Develop, update, and perform patient care plans to support positive outcomes
• Collect vital signs, administer IV medications, and perform accurate charting
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team to coordinate patient care
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and families
• Perform other duties as assigned to support unit operations

Essential Qualifications

• New graduate or early-career Registered Nurse (Med-Surg experience or clinical rotations preferred)
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) OR RN applicant status acceptable at time of application
• Basic Life Support (BLS) — American Heart Association (preferred upon hire; must obtain prior to direct patient care)
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced setting
• Attention to detail in documentation and medication administration
• Effective communication and teamwork skills

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred but not required
• Active RN licensure in the state of Virginia (or RN applicant with plans to obtain licensure)
• BLS certification required prior to providing direct patient care

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay range: $30.51 — $48.80 per hour
• $5,000 sign-on bonus (as listed)
