Overview

Confidential Client is hiring a Neurophysiologist for a field-based intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring (IONM/ IOM) role in Texas. This is an entry-level friendly position; full training is provided. Estimated pay: $39,315 per year (estimated).


What You’ll Do

You will deliver high-quality intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring (IONM) to support surgical teams and patient safety. Typical responsibilities include:

  • Obtain patient history and consult with surgeons on structures at risk and monitoring modalities
  • Monitor and communicate nervous system signals to the surgical team throughout procedures
  • Display, label, mark and measure waveforms (latencies, amplitudes, conduction times) per protocol
  • Select and apply appropriate monitoring protocols and perform troubleshooting to ensure accurate data
  • Complete required documentation, IOM logs, uploads, and case notes in a timely fashion
  • Maintain and perform routine checks on neuromonitoring equipment
  • Represent the Confidential Client professionally and follow all company policies and compliance training
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree typically required; entry-level candidates welcome
  • CNIM eligibility via an ABRET pathway (Bachelor’s degree, R EEG T or R EP T certification, or graduation from a CAAHEP or NIM IOM program)
  • Familiarity with intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring, human anatomy & physiology, or technical troubleshooting is preferred
  • Operating Room experience is a plus
  • Strong time management and organizational skills; ability to adapt to changing OR schedules and conditions
  • Effective communication skills and demonstrated ability to collaborate with surgical teams; fluent English communication with surgeons/staff required
  • Ability to travel regularly and be field-based (up to 25% travel)
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain required hospital privileges and any applicable vaccinations
  • Eligible for medical malpractice insurance coverage at standard rates (insurance provided by the company)
  • Obtain and maintain CNIM certification

Travel & Physical Requirements

  • Travel up to 25%
  • Ability to lift and transport equipment up to ~50 lbs (IONM system, laptop, supplies)
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, and use manual dexterity in the OR
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to transport equipment
