What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring a Neurophysiologist for a field-based, intraoperative neuromonitoring (IOM) role. You will work alongside surgical teams to monitor patients' nervous systems during procedures, communicate real-time findings to surgeons, and help reduce surgical risk through accurate data collection and interpretation.

• Provide intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring (IONM) during surgeries and communicate monitoring status to the surgeon and OR team.
• Obtain patient medical history and consult with surgeons on structures at risk and monitoring modalities.
• Display, label, measure and document waveforms (latencies, amplitudes, conduction times) per established protocols.
• Select and apply appropriate monitoring protocols and perform troubleshooting to ensure accurate data.
• Complete required documentation, prepare IOM logs/files, and upload case data in a timely manner.
• Maintain, check, and transport neuromonitoring equipment and supplies to/from facilities.
• Represent Confidential Client professionally and follow applicable compliance, code of conduct, and safety policies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned and follow reasonable accommodations as needed.

Requirements

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of related experience; advanced degree or equivalent work experience also considered.
• Certified in Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM) — certification required/maintained.
• Knowledge of intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring (IONM) fundamentals and human anatomy & physiology; technical troubleshooting skills preferred.
• Operating Room (OR) experience is preferred.
• Strong time-management, organization, and the ability to handle competing priorities and changing schedules.
• Excellent verbal communication skills in English for interaction with surgeons and surgical staff.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain hospital privileges and meet applicable physical or vaccination requirements.
• Eligible for medical malpractice insurance coverage at standard rates (coverage provided by the company).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

Travel & Physical Demands

• Field-based role with travel up to 25%.
• Ability to lift and transport IOM equipment (approx. 50 lbs) and set up equipment in the OR.
• Ability to stand for periods, bend, and use manual dexterity while wearing PPE (gowns, masks, gloves, goggles) as needed.
• Visual and auditory acuity to monitor waveforms and alarms.
