What You’ll Do
The Confidential Client is hiring a Network / Networking Engineer to join the core IT networking team in East Lake-Orient Park, FL. You will support enterprise LAN/WAN/cloud network stacks, perform maintenance, troubleshoot multi-vendor environments, and help implement security-first network policies in support of compliance (SOX, NIST 800-171, CMMC).
- Assist with configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of corporate network systems (LAN, WAN, WLAN, cloud).
- Participate in maintenance and support of cloud, LAN, WAN, and WLAN infrastructure across local and global environments.
- Help expand corporate private and public cloud networking services and capabilities.
- Collaborate on network design documentation to ensure secure, scalable, and highly available infrastructure.
- Assess and facilitate network requests including firewall policies, VPNs, carrier services, cabling/physical connectivity, Layer 2/3 services, DNS/DHCP/IPAM, and cryptography.
- Work in multivendor environments (Arista, Cisco, etc.) and support enterprise network monitoring (CloudVision, PRTG, Perle OOBM, SNMP, NetFlow, Syslog).
- Provide shift-based monitoring and Tier 2/3 support for a global network infrastructure; participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation as assigned.
- Assist integration, implementation, and troubleshooting for hybrid projects (on-prem, cloud).
- Support cybersecurity efforts during investigations and assessments of enterprise platforms.
- Implement and maintain system patches/updates and network policies to meet compliance requirements.
- Participate in disaster recovery, business continuity, M&A onboarding, and cross-team coordination.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a computer-related curriculum plus 2 years of networking/OS design, test, and maintenance experience; OR an Associate’s degree plus 3+ years of equivalent experience; OR equivalent related experience.
- Minimum 2 years supporting and maintaining complex network environments.
- Working knowledge of firewalls, routers, Layer 2/3 switches (Cisco/Arista), VPCs, VLANs, Wi‑Fi, cryptography, and wireless technologies.
- Basic understanding of ACLs, VLANs, DNS, IP addressing, and routing fundamentals.
- Familiarity with WAN/LAN/WLAN architecture and network security fundamentals.
- Knowledge of SIEM concepts and IT security policies.
- Experience with network services: DNS, IPAM, (S)FTP, TFTP, LDAP, SMTP, 802.1X, TLS certificates, DHCP.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools and telemetry (PRTG, SolarWinds, Nagios or equivalents; SNMP, NetFlow, Syslog).
- Exposure to routing protocols and high-availability technologies (HSRP, OSPF, EIGRP), SD‑WAN, and VoIP-related protocols.
- Interest in hybrid cloud networking and compute workloads (on-premises and Azure GCC‑High).
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Self-motivated, collaborative, and able to work with 3rd-party vendors and corporate affiliates.
Preferred Skills & Certifications
- Entry-level network certifications: Arista Certified Engineer - Associate, CCNA Enterprise, or CompTIA Network+.
- Experience with PRTG, SolarWinds, Nagios or similar monitoring stacks.
- Experience supporting hybrid Microsoft/Linux ecosystems.
- Exposure to Cisco, Arista, or Palo Alto hardware/software.
- Familiarity with Infoblox IPAM or cloud IPAM tooling.
Security & Eligibility
- This role requires eligibility for a DoD personal security clearance. Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this position.
- Must comply with all company security and data protection policies and appropriately handle sensitive information.

Work Environment & Physical Demands
- Duties performed in office and manufacturing facility settings.
- Ability to support rack-mounted equipment (up to 7 feet), perform routine computer/office work, and participate in on-call rotation and occasional overtime or shift work.
- Regularly required to sit, communicate, and use manual dexterity to operate equipment.
Compensation & Benefits
- Estimated pay (as listed on source): $177,492 per year (estimated).
