What You’ll Do
We’re helping a Confidential Client (IT) hire an Entry‑Level .NET Developer to join a collaborative software team. This is a hands-on role focused on building and supporting web applications and APIs while learning the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Estimated salary: $76,040 per year (estimated)
- Work with senior developers to design, develop, test, debug, and maintain web applications using C# and .NET/.NET Core
- Build and support ASP.NET Core (MVC) web apps and Web APIs
- Develop and consume RESTful APIs and integrate services
- Write, test, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures and other database operations on Microsoft SQL Server
- Apply Object‑Oriented Programming principles and follow coding standards
- Participate in unit and integration testing, code reviews, and Agile/Scrum ceremonies
- Use Git for source‑control and follow versioning best practices
- Assist with deployments, production support, and maintain technical documentation
- Continuously learn Microsoft technologies, modern tooling, and industry best practices
What You’ll Bring (Required Skills)
- Basic to strong knowledge of C# and .NET
- Familiarity with ASP.NET Core / ASP.NET MVC
- Understanding of Object‑Oriented Programming (OOP)
- Basic knowledge of SQL and Microsoft SQL Server
- Familiarity with REST APIs and web services
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience or familiarity with Git/version control
- Basic testing and debugging skills
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Entity Framework / Entity Framework Core
- LINQ
- Experience with Angular or React
- Azure / Azure DevOps experience
- CI/CD concepts and pipelines
- Unit testing frameworks such as xUnit or NUnit
- Exposure to cloud‑based application development
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum processes
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field preferred
- 0–2 years of professional experience; internships, academic projects, and personal projects are welcomed
- Demonstrated willingness to learn and grow as a software developer
Working Conditions & Location
