What You’ll Do
This entry-level Member Services role supports members via phone and digital channels. You will handle routine account inquiries, assist with new deposit account origination, support card services, and help members with digital banking needs while following security and regulatory procedures.
- Provide high-quality member service through telephone and digital channels (chat/email)
- Open new deposit accounts and process routine account maintenance
- Assist members with card services, online/mobile banking, and basic troubleshooting
- Follow Confidential Client’s Member Information Security Procedure (MISP) for identification and privacy controls
- Use the CXone platform (or similar call center systems) to manage interactions and log activity
- Meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for quality, responsiveness, and accuracy
- Work with a mentor and coaching team to build product knowledge and service skills
- Escalate complex issues and refer members to Financial Advisory or Real Estate Services as appropriate
- Support cross-functional teams when needed and complete assigned administrative tasks
Training & Development
New hires attend the Excel and Elevate (E&E) training program and complete core modules that cover accounts, policy, and digital services. Additional modules required for progression include funds transfer, wires, cash handling, MARGO platforms, and new account procedures.
- Core onboarding modules: Checking Accounts, Member Eligibility, Money Market Shares, SECU (Confidential Client) Policies Overview, Share Accounts, Lending Overview, NCUA Coverage, Cooperative Principles, Online Services, and cultural orientation
- Advancement modules: Member-facing websites, Share Term Certificates, Account Titling & Designations, Buy/Sell, Branch Security Measures, Funds Transfer, Member Identification, Stop Payments, Wires, Cash Handling, Check Acceptance, Holds, MARGO Platform, MARGO Teller, New Accounts
Qualifications
This is an entry-level role. We look for excellent communication and a service-oriented mindset.
- Must have a high school diploma or GED (preferred: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree or CCUE certification)
- No prior experience required — training is provided
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable working in a call center / hybrid environment and learning call-center technology (CXone)
- Customer-focused, with the ability to build member trust and provide clear recommendations or referrals
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Location, Schedule & Employment Type
- Raleigh, NC — hybrid role (combination of on-site and remote work as directed by management)
- Schedule: 4 days on, 4 days off (rotating schedule)
- Employment type: Full-time
Compensation
- Estimated annual compensation: $65,916 (estimated) — Confidential Client (pay subject to verification and may vary by experience and location)

Work Environment & Physical Demands
- Office setting with close proximity to colleagues and member-facing activity; some ambient noise (phones, printers, coin machine)
- Substantial seated work and frequent use of computer and telephone equipment
- Ability to lift up to 10–15 pounds occasionally
- Must be able to comprehend and respond appropriately to phone-based member interactions
