Role Overview
Confidential Client is seeking a motivated Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) in Biloxi, MS to drive loan origination, business development, and client relationship management. This is a full-time role focused on managing the loan pipeline from application through funding while delivering high-quality service and regulatory compliance.
What You’ll Do
- Manage end-to-end loan origination and pipeline activities (application → funding).
- Interview applicants to assess needs and explain mortgage options.
- Provide timely disclosures and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Review origination system and CRM notes; ensure documentation accuracy.
- Collaborate with Operations to resolve issues and expedite closings.
- Market mortgage products to builder communities, real estate offices, and referral partners.
- Mentor and support junior MLOs as directed by branch leadership.
- Attend closings, community events, and weekend activities as required.
- Maintain high availability to provide updates and answer borrower questions.
What We’re Looking For
- Active, state-required Mortgage Loan Originator license.
- 1–2 years of mortgage-related experience (loan origination, underwriting exposure, or equivalent).
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required if compensated by relevant experience.
- Solid mortgage product knowledge (lock procedures, program analysis, underwriting guidelines).
- Proficiency with MS Office and CRM/origination systems.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for community outreach.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage high-volume workflows.
- Ability to work overtime and attend evenings/weekends for community events when needed.
