About the Role

Confidential Client is hiring a Mid-Level Data Analyst to join their Newark, NJ team. This on-site, full-time role is ideal for an early-career analyst or a candidate with a strong technical foundation who wants hands-on experience with reporting, dashboards, and operational data used to drive business decisions.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare and maintain operational reports, scorecards, and dashboards
• Work with Microsoft Excel and large datasets to produce accurate, timely reports
• Analyze operational and portfolio performance and monitor trends and key performance metrics
• Manage data imports, exports, validation, and reconciliation to ensure data accuracy
• Support recurring and ad hoc reporting requests from operations and management
• Work with databases and internal information systems; troubleshoot data discrepancies
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting, processes, and data quality

What We’re Looking For

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, IT, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, or a related field preferred
• Recent graduates and early-career applicants encouraged to apply
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and comfort working with spreadsheets and reports
• Basic understanding of databases and information systems (SQL familiarity is a plus)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to learn new systems and technology
• Effective verbal and written communication skills; collaborative mindset
• Self-motivated, dependable, and able to pass a background check

Technical Skills (Nice to Have)

• Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables)
• SQL (basic querying)
• Power BI or other data visualization tools
• Familiarity with ETL concepts, data imports/exports, and reporting tools
• Experience with databases and data validation techniques

Preferred Experience

Experience, internships, coursework, or exposure in any of the following is helpful but not required:

• Financial services, accounts receivable, or collections industry exposure
• Business intelligence, reporting, or data analytics projects
• Information systems or database management experience
• Call center or operations analytics background

Collections or financial-services experience is preferred but not required.
