The Microsoft Technical Business Analyst at Confidential Client Technology Group is responsible for gathering and analyzing business requirements, managing product lifecycles, and driving prioritization of technical projects within the Microsoft 365 platform. This role acts as the voice of internal stakeholders, facilitating communication and collaboration to deliver governance-aligned, user-focused solutions that enhance operational support and service delivery. The analyst supports roadmap initiatives, governance modernization, and continuous improvement efforts to enable best-in-class technology solutions for the construction industry.

What You’ll Do
This entry-level Business Systems Analyst (Technical Business Analyst I) will partner with stakeholders to translate business needs into clear requirements, support Microsoft 365 platform governance, and help deliver product/features from planning through launch. You will act as the voice of the customer and work with product owners, technical teams, and operational support to prioritize work and improve user experience across collaboration platforms.
- Gather, document, validate and manage business requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, research and process analysis
- Create user stories, acceptance criteria, workflows, process maps, decision criteria and supporting documentation
- Analyze current-state and future-state processes to identify improvements that reduce manual work, clarify support boundaries and improve user experience
- Support roadmap and governance initiatives across Microsoft 365 collaboration services (SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, Groups, Forms, Planner)
- Assist with workspace lifecycle management, ownership reviews, remediation programs and standards alignment
- Research platform capabilities, industry practices and governance recommendations to propose practical solutions
- Support reporting and dashboard requirements, data validation and executive summaries for decision support
- Participate in backlog refinement, prioritization, testing, validation and implementation readiness
- Create process documentation, RACI matrices, knowledge articles and end-user guidance
- Communicate status, risks and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences and develop adoption/training materials
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Business Administration, Management Information Systems or equivalent experience
- 0–3 years of experience in business analysis, systems analysis, project coordination, process improvement or related roles
- Experience gathering and documenting requirements, workflows, risks and business procedures
- Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organization, time-management and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple priorities
- Comfortable learning new technologies, governance concepts and operational support models
- Ability to work through ambiguity and convert unclear needs into clear requirements and deliverables
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to present to varied audiences
- Able to partner effectively with platform managers, technical leads, project managers and support teams
Nice to Have (Bonus Points)
- Hands-on familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools: SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, Microsoft 365 Groups, Forms, Planner
- Experience with Power Automate or Power BI, or exposure to reporting/dashboard requirements and data visualization
- Exposure to Agile delivery, Azure DevOps, user stories, acceptance criteria and testing practices
- Awareness of governance, compliance, records management and lifecycle management concepts
- Microsoft 365 certifications or demonstrated completion of Microsoft learning paths
Compensation & Benefits
- Estimated pay: $87,294 per year (estimated)
