Microbiology Technician
The Microbiology Technician is responsible for preparing samples, running chromatography, processing samples, and collecting and entering data into internal tracking systems. This entry-level, onsite contract role requires microbiology lab experience and focuses on supporting laboratory testing and data management in a scientific environment.

What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is seeking an entry-level Microbiology Technician to work on-site in Fresno, CA supporting routine laboratory testing and sample processing. This is a contract, on-site role focused on accurate sample handling, basic chromatography workflows, and recording data into internal tracking systems.
- Receive and prepare samples for testing (aliquoting, adding buffer, labeling).
- Run sample processing and basic chromatography procedures as directed.
- Collect, calculate, and enter sample data into the internal tracking system.
- Follow written protocols, maintain lab logs, and support quality and safety practices.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and assist with routine lab upkeep.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a science discipline required; Microbiology degree preferred.
- Microbiology laboratory experience required (academic experience acceptable).
- Experience or comfort with data entry / data collection (academic experience acceptable).
- Entry-level — no additional professional experience required beyond degree and lab exposure.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to follow SOPs, and good communication skills.
Schedule, Location & Employment Type
- Location: Fresno, CA — Onsite.
- Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM.
- Employment type: Contract (on-site).
Compensation
- Rate: $22.00 per hour (as listed by the hiring client).
- Benefits eligibility and other pay details, if any, are determined by our client.
