Overview

Confidential Client is seeking a Microbiology Lab Technician to support microbiology testing of dietary supplements and probiotic products. This is a Contract-to-Hire, fully onsite role in Madison, WI. The position offers hands-on laboratory training and a clear pathway to grow within a laboratory environment.

What You’ll Do

• Perform routine microbiology testing on dietary supplements and probiotic products
• Prepare samples, media, and dilutions for testing
• Conduct testing and identification for organisms such as E. coli, Salmonella, and Listeria
• Perform plating, colony counting, and recordkeeping/documentation
• Follow laboratory procedures, quality standards, and safety protocols
• Collaborate with teammates to meet daily testing schedules and production timelines
• Maintain clean, compliant work areas and help support quality assurance activities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or a related life science field
• Laboratory experience through coursework, research, internships, or academic projects
• Familiarity with aseptic technique, plating, and colony counting preferred
• Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills
• Ability to follow written procedures and work accurately in a fast-paced environment
• Previous hands-on microbiology experience is helpful but not required
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work onsite in Madison, WI
